Almost Christmas

Yes, ... almost Christmas. I've eaten too much candy. I've spent too much money. I have the Christmas Blues.

What was once an enjoyable, meaningful, holiday has become such a commercialized event that the true meaning of the holiday seems to have evaporated. Well, if not evaporated, at least gone into hiding. One really has to just stop and think, ......... what are we doing? Why?

The retail sector of our society has seized upon the opportunity to turn us all into cash spending machines, so as to further their own agenda (the growth of the bottom line).

I have almost managed to relieve my self of 'Commercialitis'. I am weaning myself from the commercial aspect of Christmas, and urge everyone to do the same. Let the retailers of America go broke trying to pedal their "Christmas Junk"

Give me a popped corn ball or a homemade pie, ....... stop spending unnecessary money on things people do not need and things that do nothing to perpetuate the true meaning of Christmas. Visit friends, neighbors and family. Help the needy, help a stranger and remember why we have this holiday.

May God bless us all with health, prosperity, an open heart and an open mind.

Merry Christmas, ... and do have a happy New Year.

New Gaget

There's new gadget out called...."Peek".

So, the question is ..."What is a Peek?"

It's a rather small gadget that allows you to send and receive your current emails from anywhere. using the Cellphone network. It's not a Cell phone. you can't make calls with it, only email.

Check it out! www.getpeek.com

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she
wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she
combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen by looking into her eyes,
because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

A New Piece of Technology

I'm trying out a new peice of modern technology today. Actually I'm playing with two neat devices at once. One is the Nokia N800 Internet tablet, which I've had for some time. The other is a newly designed Bluetooth wireless keyboard built and marketed by Apple.

The Nokia N800 is, and always has been, a neat little gadget for email or general web work (I'm typing this Blog entry with it). The weakest point of the device was it's "on screen" keyboard, which required a great deal of practice and patience to use properly.

This is where Apple's Bluetooth wireless keyboard comes into play. I was able to pair the keyboard to the N800 for synergistic operation that makes the two devices operate as though they were one.
The N800takes care of the Internet connection (via my wireless router), formats the screen and provides all of the visual neccesities, while the Apple Wireless Keyboard provides the input and control for the session.
I'm amazed, and very well pleased, at the way these two devices work together.

I sure we'll hear more of one, if not both, of these devices in the future.
